The Following Jesus devotional provides another opportunity to connect with God. These devotions are intended to provide a personal time for you to meet with God during the week.

There are two devotions each week. The first is an opportunity to engage more deply with the scripture for the week. The second is an opportunity to explore your true identity in relationship to God through the Prayer of Recollection. We know that not everyone is able to do the devotions every week, and we encourage you to do what you can. These devotions aren't intended to be another box to check on your to-do list or an obligation to fulfuill. They're an invitation to take advantage of as you're able.

For those who want more devotional content, you can engage in each devotion multiple times.

The devotional and individual use of Following Jesus are intended to supplement weekly small group meetings. Following Jesus includes discussion guides and material for 7 small groups meetings.
The small group experience gives you the opportunity to ask your questions, hear other opinions, and to interact with the ideas being shared each week. Each small group is a safe place for you to be able to ask your questions, share your feelings, and share what God is doing in your life. Most small groups will include the following elements:

• Warm Up: Handy questions to get discussion flowing and to help get the people in the group thinking about the topic for the week.
• Video: Each week the group will watch a video together that introduces the key ideas for the week.
• Discussion Questions: These questions drive deeper discussion after the group watches the weekly video together.
• Group Activity: Many weeks feature activities the group does together during the small group meeting.
• Prayer: These are suggestions to guide prayer time during your small group’s ministry time.
• This Week: This section provides some guidance for the upcoming week concerning how to proceed with the topic discussed in each week’s small group meeting.
